The Taskker (The Taskker) Service is offered and intended for use in the United States. We do not target or actively market the Service to residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Service is not designed to meet GDPR or UK GDPR requirements. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

2A. Sensitive Personal Information (CPRA)
Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we separately disclose the categories of Sensitive Personal Information (“SPI”) we may collect. Depending on your use of the Service, this may include:
Precise geolocation data (when you enable location for map view, job routing, or job-site check-ins)
Account log-in credentials (such as your password or authentication tokens)
Audio recordings (voice input you submit through speech-recognition features)
Contents of communications (such as messages and notes) where you are not the intended recipient
We use SPI only for the purposes of providing and securing the Service: authenticating your account, delivering location-based and AI features you request, processing payments, preventing fraud, and complying with the law. We do not use or disclose SPI for purposes other than those permitted under the CPRA, and we do not use SPI to infer characteristics about you. We do not sell or share SPI for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to limit our use of SPI as described in Section 5.
3. AI Processing: Special Disclosures
Because Taskker (The Taskker) offers AI-powered features (including but not limited to photo-based estimate generation, AI-assisted invoice creation, voice/speech recognition, and AI-generated suggestions), this section provides additional transparency about how we handle your data when you use those features.
3.1 What We Send to AI Providers
When you use an AI feature, we may send the following to our third-party AI providers in order to generate the requested output:
The photo, voice recording, or text you submitted
Limited contextual information necessary for the feature to work (e.g., job category, currency, or business location for pricing context)
System prompts and instructions we add to guide the AI’s response
We do not send your billing details, payment card numbers, full client lists, or other personal data that is not needed to complete the request.
3.2 Third-Party AI Sub-processors
Taskker (The Taskker) uses third-party AI providers (such as commercial large-language-model and computer-vision providers) to deliver AI features. These providers act as our sub-processors and are bound by contractual data protection terms, including limits on data retention and use. A current list of AI sub-processors is available on request at support@thetaskker.com. We will provide at least 14 days’ advance notice of material changes to this list.
3.3 Use of Your Data for AI Model Training
Octos Global Solutions LLC does not use your customer-identifiable data, your client photos, or your voice recordings to train third-party AI foundation models, except where (a) you have explicitly opted in, or (b) the data has been irreversibly de-identified and aggregated. Where required by law, we will provide a clear opt-out for any use of your data that constitutes a sale, share, or training use.
Where third-party AI providers have their own data retention or training defaults, we contractually configure our use of those providers to limit such retention and to opt out of training-on-customer-data where the provider offers that option.
3.4 Biometric and Sensitive Data Considerations
Voice recordings and certain photos may, in some jurisdictions, be considered biometric or sensitive personal information. By using voice features and uploading photos, you consent to the processing described in this Privacy Policy. We do not perform facial recognition, voiceprint identification, or other biometric identification on the data you submit. If you do not consent to this processing, you may disable AI features in Settings.
3.5 AI Output Is Provided “As Is”
Outputs generated by AI features (estimates, invoices, suggestions, transcriptions, etc.) may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. AI may produce errors known as “hallucinations”, plausible but incorrect content. You are responsible for reviewing all AI output before relying on it or sending it to a third party. Octos Global Solutions LLC makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, or reliability of AI-generated content. See our Terms of Service and Disclaimer for full liability terms.
3.6 Retention of AI Inputs and Outputs
AI inputs (photos, recordings, prompts) and outputs are retained as part of your account records so you can review them. You can delete them at any time. After your account is closed, we delete or de-identify AI inputs and outputs within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
3.7 Children and AI
AI features are not directed to and may not be used by individuals under 18. You agree not to submit photos clearly depicting children without parental consent, and not to use AI features to process data of children under 13.
3.8 Automated Decision-Making
Taskker (The Taskker)’s AI features assist you in drafting estimates, invoices, and notes. They do not make legally significant decisions about you or your clients on their own. Final business decisions — pricing, scope, acceptance, hiring, payment — remain yours. We do not use AI to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
Service providers who assist in operating the App (hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support)
Third-party AI providers acting as our sub-processors, solely to deliver AI features you request
Law enforcement or government agencies when required by law, court order, or legal process
Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets (you will be notified)
Other parties with your express consent
5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:
Right to Know: Request disclosure of what personal information we have collected, used, shared, or sold about you
Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
Right to Limit Sensitive PI: Limit our use of sensitive personal information
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
Right to Disable AI Processing: Disable AI features at any time via Settings > AI & Privacy without losing access to non-AI functionality
To submit a privacy request, contact us at support@thetaskker.com. We will respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
How to Exercise Your Opt-Out and Limit Rights: You can exercise your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to limit the use of your Sensitive Personal Information, at any time by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link located in our App under Settings > AI & Privacy, and on the footer of our website at www.thetaskker.com. You may also submit a request by emailing support@thetaskker.com. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law, and we will not require you to create an account in order to exercise these rights.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. AI inputs and outputs are retained as described in Section 3.6. You may request deletion of your account data at any time. We may retain certain information as required by law, for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention), or as necessary to resolve disputes.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encryption at rest, access controls, secure transmission to AI subprocessors, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7A. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and any applicable regulators in accordance with California law (including California Civil Code sections 1798.29 and 1798.82) and other applicable laws. We will provide notice without unreasonable delay following discovery and confirmation of the breach, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the integrity of our systems. Where we act as a service provider or data processor to a business customer, we will notify that customer without undue delay (and, for processing covered by our Data Processing Agreement, within 72 hours of becoming aware) so they can meet their own notification obligations. Our breach notice will describe, to the extent known, the nature of the incident, the categories of information involved, and the steps we are taking in response.
8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
The Taskker (The Taskker) App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. AI features must not be used to process data clearly identifying children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take immediate steps to delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@thetaskker.com.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our App, including AI providers whose policies may govern certain aspects of how data is processed when you use AI features.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect new AI features or new AI sub-processors. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. The revised policy will take effect upon posting unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10A. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our service providers, and we use cookies, web beacons, mobile SDKs, local storage, and similar tracking technologies on the Taskker (The Taskker) website and within the App. We use these technologies in the following categories:
Strictly necessary: required to authenticate your account, secure the Service, and remember your session. These cannot be disabled.
Functional: remember your preferences, language, and saved settings.
Analytics and performance: help us understand how the Service is used and improve features (for example, aggregated usage and crash reports).
Advertising and marketing: used only if you opt in. We do not use advertising cookies by default.
You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie preference banner on our website, through your browser or device settings, and through the in-App Privacy Settings. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from functioning.
10B. California Shine the Light Disclosure
Under California Civil Code section 1798.83 (the “Shine the Light” law), California residents who have an established business relationship with us may request information once per calendar year about our disclosure of certain categories of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct marketing purposes. Octos Global Solutions LLC does not share personal information with third parties for those third parties’ own direct marketing purposes. To submit a Shine the Light request or to ask about our practices, please email support@thetaskker.com with the subject line “Shine the Light Request.” We will respond within 30 days.
10C. Payment Card Data and PCI-DSS
Octos Global Solutions LLC does not store, process, or transmit full payment card numbers or other cardholder data directly. All payment card transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you enter payment card information, it is collected by Stripe’s hosted fields and tokenized; we receive only a tokenized reference and limited non-sensitive metadata (such as the last four digits of the card and the card brand). Accordingly, Taskker (The Taskker)’s cardholder data environment is limited under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS v4.0), and our compliance obligations are met through our integration with Stripe. We can provide additional information to enterprise customers and auditors on request.
10D. Accessibility Statement
Octos Global Solutions LLC is committed to making the Taskker (The Taskker) mobile App and web platform accessible to users with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and, where applicable, the requirements of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. §12182, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some features may not yet fully conform. If you experience an accessibility barrier or need assistance accessing any feature of the Service, please contact support@thetaskker.com, and we will work with you to provide the information or functionality through an alternative accessible means and to address the issue in a future release.
